Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Hardscape Lead Hand/Foreman to oversee the installation of hardscape elements, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and driveways. This leadership role involves working closely with the landscape designer to ensure that all hardscaping tasks are executed to the highest standards.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-end residential and commercial properties, creating and constructing outdoor spaces that are both functional and visually stunning. Key Responsibilities
• Lead a team in the installation of hardscape features, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and driveways.
• Collaborate with the landscape designer to ensure projects meet specifications and design standards.
• Be Involved in the preparation of surfaces for projects, including base material application and compaction.
• Oversee the installation of various hardscape materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and other paving elements.
• Operate and maintain hardscaping equipment, such as skid steers, excavators, compactors, and small tools.
• Ensure all work is completed with high-quality standards and within project timelines.
• Promote and enforce safety standards to maintain a secure work environment for the team.
• Mentor and guide crew members, supporting their growth in hardscaping techniques and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Education:
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardscaping, including the installation of patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in landscaping is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of hardscape materials, installation techniques, and drainage systems.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and compactors.
• Ability to read and interpret hardscape designs and blueprints.
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
• Clean G class driver’s license (driver’s abstract required).
• A, AZ or DZ license is an asset.
• ICPI Certification is an asset.
Compensation
$25 to $40/hour
