Job Title:
Landscape Construction Foreman
Main Purpose of Job:
Landscape Construction Foreman creates beautiful outdoor spaces for our commercial and residential clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Participate in the goals and objectives of Wild Ridge Landscapes, including the building of a company
culture that is always respectful, inclusive, motivated to provide excellent results and to constantly be growing in knowledge and skills.
● Ensuring a safe workplace
● Organizing site, ensuring a safe workplace, gathering materials and helping to organize crew
● Manage equipment and materials
● Reviewing the job regularly with Landscape Manager to ensure the project is on schedule and on budget
● Manual labour including digging, installing and handling of stone, concrete products, wood and other landscape materials
● Safe handling of gasoline, oils, diesel fuels, concrete adhesives etc. and ensuring labourers on site are aware of hazards
● Keeping site clean and cleanup at end of day
● Responsibility will include supervision of other crew members, including training
● Some plant care may be required including planting, weeding and pruning
● Use of tractor with loader, skid steer, mini-excavators, stone saws, plate compactor and other hand and power tools as trained or certified only
● Timely submission of timesheets and job related documentation including receipts, work orders and change orders.
Qualifications:
● Job requires knowledge of grading, excavation, job site organizing, reading and interpreting landscape designs
● Willingness to work in all types of weather (rain, cold and hot temperatures)
● Willingness to accommodate irregular work schedules (some shifts may run long, or Saturday work may be required)
● Heavy lifting is a requirement and key part of the job
Working Conditions:
● In early spring and late fall the landscape construction foreman may be asked to work in cold weather temperatures where they need to dress warmly.
● In mid summer the landscape construction foreman may be asked to work in hot weather temperatures and need to drink plenty of fluids, be responsible about sunscreen use, wear hats and ensure they take appropriate breaks.
● In all seasons, the foreman needs to be prepared to be asked to work in rainy conditions and to bring appropriate gear such as rain jackets.
● Landscape construction foremen can expect to occasionally be exposed to chemicals such as gasoline and lubricants.

● Landscape construction foremen can expect to be asked to lift up to 50 lbs.
Motion Parameters
● Landscape construction foremen can expect to be on their feet for long periods of time. The job requires walking, squatting and kneeling.
