Position Overview

We’re seeking a skilled, hands-on Foreman with a background in horticulture, landscaping, or construction. This role involves leading on-site teams to install living wall and green roof systems on commercial and residential buildings and communication internally on the progres of projects. The installations may include interior and exterior living walls, green roofs (extensive), sloped surfaces, and cable trellis systems. This role will involve travel to job sites across Ontario, with occasional overnight stays as required.

This is a growth-oriented position with opportunities to advance into site supervision or project management as our company expands.

Reports To: Field Operations Manager & Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and execute on-site installations within Ontario
• Manage teams of 2–6 people, ensuring timelines, safety, and quality are upheld
• Read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, and schedules
• Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and daily team tasks
• Repair and adapt existing infrastructure as needed
• Maintain site cleanliness and conduct final quality control checks
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
• Maintain a collaborative site culture and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Continue to improve your existing skills and knowledge while training and mentoring junior team members on installation methods
• Ensure all work aligns with New Earth Solutions’ standards
• Document daily progress using mobile apps or digital tools, as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years in horticulture, landscaping, green infrastructure, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience leading teams or managing job sites
• Strong plant knowledge (sedums, perennials, tropicals, etc.) and irrigation familiarity
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round and lifting 50 lbs
• Valid G driver’s license (DZ is a plus)
• Comfortable working at heights and with power tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative, solution-oriented, and dependable
• Comfortable using basic mobile or digital apps for documentation and reporting

Nice to Have

• Living architecture or green roof certification (e.g., GRP)
• Experience with hydroponic or modular plant systems
• First Aid or Working at Heights certification
