Job Description
Job Summary:
The Snow Plow Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of snow removal equipment, including plow trucks, loaders, and other machinery, to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other public or private surfaces. The operator ensures surfaces remain safe and accessible during winter weather events.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate snow plow trucks, front-end loaders, salt spreaders, and related equipment.
Remove snow and ice from roads, driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other areas as assigned.
Spread salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to ensure traction and safety.
Perform pre-operation inspections and minor maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snow emergencies or on-call rotations.
Maintain clear and accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment status.
Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations while operating equipment.
Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate snow removal efforts.
Report hazards, damage, or obstacles encountered during operations.
May perform manual snow removal tasks using shovels or snow blowers as needed.

Compensation
$25 to $35/hour
