Job Description
The horticultural technician will perform tasks involving planting, lawn mowing, trimming, weed pulling, leaf blowing and collecting, pruning. The job will include operation of hand tools and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, installing plant material, watering plants, cleaning up debris and loading/unloading trucks on sites. The horticultural crew will visit six to ten residential properties a day.

Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G
Attention to Detail – job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Dependability – job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable and fulfilling obligations
A few years of landscape industry experience is an asset.
Compensation
$21 to $28/(pay interval)
Even though the season is advanced, the chosen candidate would be welcomed back in the spring. The opportunity for overtime pay starts beyond 88 hours per bi-weekly pay periods. Extended health and dental benefits activate after one year, as the Group RRSP/DPSP program. Horticultural Technician Apprenticeship Program is encouraged.
