Key Responsibilities(Crew Lead):
~ Work closely with our on-staff Landscape Designer to transform intricate designs into outdoor realities(great aesthetic view)
~ Oversee the execution of landscape projects that are aligned with the designer's vision while adhering to project specifications, budget and timelines
~Ability to visualize 3D renderings & read 2D landscape plans
~ Provide updates and address concerns to ensure client satisfaction from start to finish and expectations are met the first time
~ Maintain effective communication with the designer and crew members to foster a positive, solution-driven attitude
~ Ability to plan, organize and and issue work directives to crew members
~ Ensure compliance with safety standards
~ Ensure employee activity logs and project updates are completed and submitted daily
~ Adhering to workplace policy and respectful work environment
Key Responsibilities(Crew Member):
~ Perform a variety of tasks including planting, pruning, installation of retaining walls, patios, walkways, water features
~ Operate basic landscape equipment under supervision and guidance of the Crew Lead
~ Follow and execute directives from Crew Lead
~ Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure a smooth workflow for timely project completion
~ Maintain a clean and organized work environment
~ Adhering to workplace policy and respectful work environment
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma,, Apprentice Level I/II,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record, WHMIS, First AID, CPR
Qualifications(Crew Lead):
~Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience overseeing three to five people
~Experience in landscape projects such as garden installs, retaining walls, patios, walkways,fencing and water features
~Knowledge of horticulture, plant materials, and landscape design principles
~Ability to read and understand site/planting plans with an emphasis on attention to detail
~Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with designer, clients and crew members
~Commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful work environment
~Physically fit to carry out repetitive tasks with heavy lifting
~Must work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing workload and weather conditions
~Valid driver's license and abstract required
~Must have reliable transportation to Garden Centre as punctuality is an imperative.
Qualifications(Crew Member):
~Knowledge of horticulture and plants
~Hardscape experience a must
~Physically fit to carry out repetitive tasks with heavy lifting
~Ability to perform a variety of tasks to support the overall success of landscape installations
~Positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction from others
~Flexibility to adjust to unplanned workload changes
~ Able to adapt to ever-changing weather conditions
~Punctuality an imperative
~Valid driver's license and abstract required
~Must have reliable transportation to garden centre
Compensation
$23 to $35/hour
