Job Description
In collaboration with the team and clients, the Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for developing comprehensive proposals – they play a crucial role in determining project feasibility and helping achieve the sales goals of the company. The Estimator/Project Manager is to stay updated on material pricing and resource allocation to ensure profitability and can offer effective landscape solutions for each project.
The Estimator/Project Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering the Oriole Experience to both clients and staff. This individual is responsible for overseeing landscape projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Estimator/Project Manager acts as a liaison between clients, crews, and contractors, providing leadership, clear communication, and strategic oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,, University Degree,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G
Certificate, degree or diploma in Landscape Design/Architecture or related work experience
Ability to read blueprints, make shop drawings
Proficient in Vector works (AutoCAD an asset)
Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Personable and comfortable meeting and speaking with clients and staff.
Ability to work independently.
Organized and punctual.
Driver’s license and personal vehicle (considered as an asset).
Proficiency in designing, drawing concepts and construction drawings using Vector works or AutoCAD
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of construction processes
Capable of developing and improving operational processes
SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Compensation
$65,000 to $80,000/year
Salary, Extended health and Dental benefits after a year of employment as well as Group RRSP/DPSP.
Free parking available at the office. Staff events throughout the year. Two weeks vacation year end and one week additional over the winter.
