Job Description
The Supervisor’s role is to provide supervision and leadership to crew members and timely communication with clients to maintain a particular list of properties to the highest of standards while ensuring all Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures are being followed. No Lawn Care, No Hardscaping.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Supervisory role at a garden maintenance company and/or horticultural certification.
A Class G driver’s license is required.
Always lead by example, act in a respectful and professional manner, and keep morale high.
Excellent knowledge of Ontario plants and their culture.
Professional and proactive communication with clients - anticipate what is needed at each site and implement.
- Excellent at pruning hedges and experienced with all types of gardening power tools.
- Excellent in seasonal containers.
- Ensure that every job and all accompanying paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide detailed training to all staff and always strive for maximum efficiency while delivering the highest standard of work.
Compensation
$30 to $40/hour
Paid landscape industry training during work hours. Ability to renew contract yearly. Extended Health and Dental benefits as well as Group RRSP/DPSP, both after one year of employment.
