Job Description

The role of Crew member is to maintain and enhance client gardens using sound horticulture practices. Meets or succeeds the company’s standard for professional garden services Reports for work every day on time and properly prepared with respect to food, clothing, work boots etc. Upholds and engages with the company’s values and vision Engages in all assigned tasks at an efficient rate of speed and in an effective manner Follows all policies and procedures and health and safety regulations set out by The Cultivated Garden Always displays a professional and respectful attitude towards clients and co-workers Respects company property and equipment Ensures work trucks are in a clean and orderly state Demonstrates the ability to work effectively both as a team member or independently Demonstrates a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma,
Skills & Professional Training
GROW New Worker Training
Be proficient in writing and reading in English Ability to take instructions Able to perform all manual duties required in professional grounds maintenance and horticulture including planting and pruning Able to safely use all hand and gas-powered/electric tools needed in professional grounds maintenance Physical Demands: Ability to work in outdoor environments in a diverse assortment of weather conditions i.e. wet, cold, hot etc. Have the physical ability and strength to perform all duties common to the grounds maintenance industry i.e. lifting, bending, repetitive tasks, digging etc.

Compensation

$23 to $28/hour
Benefits
Paid landscape industry training during work hours. Ability to renew contract yearly. Extended Health and Dental benefits as well as Group RRSP/DPSP program after one year of work employment. Staff events.
