Position: Field Operations Manager

Position Summary
The Field Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day projects performed by all field staff. Your attention to detail ensures that every project is delivered on-time and on-budget. Your time management skills allow for the clear scheduling of all field staff. You are a clear and effective communicator liaising between field teams and upper management.
Responsibilities
Daily scheduling of all field teams and jobs
Daily review of jobs in the client management software
Daily direction and support to crew supervisors for all jobs
Coaching, training and mentoring of crew supervisors
Job inspection for quality control, staff motivation and learning opportunities
Ensuring adherence to company policies and standards
Discussing projects with clients
Managing sub-contractors where necessary
Overseeing inventory management and tool/equipment maintenance and repair
Daily review of supervisor updates
Periodic performance reviews of all field staff
Hiring and on-boarding of field staff
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 6 years experience relative experience in the landscape industry
Proven management skills of multiple crews
Ability to motivate and foster team spirit
Proven organizational, scheduling and time management abilities
Clear ability to analyze, problem-solve and adapt to maximize efficiency and quality
Project Management experience (impact of changes, scope, budget)
Quality Control experience
Demonstrated knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance and repair
Competence in Excel, Word, Google Suite and client management software
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A complete understanding of all landscape installations and maintenance including plant and
disease identification
Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
First Aid/CPR certification
Job Type: Full time, seasonal. April to December
Compensation: $35 - $42 per hour
