Horticultural Assistant

Your Garden Partner (YGP) is a personalized garden bed maintenance, design, and installation company that caters primarily to older homeowners who want to remain in their homes but need assistance with keeping their gardens looking great. YGP also serves clients who are new to gardening and need advice on what to plant or how to maintain their beds, as well as those who simply do not have the time to keep their flowerbeds in the condition they prefer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about and grow into this small business while helping deliver YGP's services: - Garden assessment & advice - Regular garden bed maintenance including trimming, splitting perennials, weeding, deadheading, fertilizing, & clearing away debris - Shrub & small tree pruning for size, health & shape - Garden design, plant sourcing & installation - Garden bed creation, edging & mulching - Weed control on paved areas around beds This is a full-time seasonal position for approximately 7 months (April-November). We work 40-50 hours a week, generally Monday-Friday, some Saturdays due to inclement weather. Driver's licence preferred but not required.
