Maintenance & Construction Lead Hand

We are seeking a candidate to lead our flex crew that services a handful of maintenance properties as well as assisting with our construction crews. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in horticulture and construction, and the ability to supervise a team effectively. This role involves managing daily crew operations, ensuring quality standards, and supporting team members to deliver exceptional landscaping services. The Lead Hand plays a vital role in maintaining client satisfaction and upholding safety protocols across all projects. Duties Coordinate and execute landscape maintenance activities, including lawncare, gardening, and horticulture tasks. Lead a team of workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and quality Assist in the installation of landscape features and construction projects as needed Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Assist in planning daily work schedule and resource allocation Provide training and mentorship to team members to develop their skills Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members regarding project progress and requirements Perform routine inspections of work sites to ensure standards are met or exceeded Reading planting plants and executing layout Skills Proven experience in landscape maintenance or construction projects Strong knowledge of lawncare, gardening practices, horticulture, and landscape maintenance techniques Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively Excellent organizational skills for planning and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to troubleshoot issues related to landscape installation or maintenance Good communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and vendors Physical ability to perform manual labor associated with landscaping activities Prior experience in construction is a plus, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving
