Applications are currently being accepted for Greenhouse & Annuals Team Lead.
The Greenhouse & Annuals Horticulture Technician Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the Greenhouse and Annuals operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet customers and create a positive shopping experience.
• Provide informed knowledge on products and services to customers.
• Train and supervise staff. Foster a positive team environment.
• Manually receive shipments, verify counts and process returns. Complete documentation.
• Liaise with Office for product shortages, damages, etc. upon arrival.
• Price, merchandise and create displays for products.
• Maintain product displays to promote and encourage sales.
• Be sales orientated in regards to weekly sales and promotions.
• Delegate duties to ensure products are maintained; dead-headed, watered, re-potted, etc.
• Coordinate and confirm staff scheduling based on business needs.
• Liaise with other departments as required.
• Participate and ensure Health and Safety compliance.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Skills & Professional Training
• Certified Horticulture Technician or equivalent retail Garden Centre experiences
• Minimum 5 year experience in a Garden Centre environment
• Minimum 2 year experience in a Supervisory or Team Lead experiences in Retail.
• Proficient communication skills, organization and multitasking skills.
• Able to manage time effectively in a fast -paced environment.
• Able to manage and delegate staff. Work well in a team environment.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as required.
• Highly motivated, positive and friendly attitude.
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend and twist.
• Required to work outdoors.
Compensation
$19 to $22/hour
