The role As a Skilled Labourer, you’ll be hands-on across landscaping and hardscaping works, working closely with the site lead to keep jobs moving and standards high. Key responsibilities - Carrying out hardscaping works, including patios, driveways, steps, and retaining or feature walls - Laying precast concrete paving and natural stone to specification - Setting out works, levels, and falls accurately - Groundworks, site preparation, and drainage installation - Installing soil, plants, trees, turf, and mulch according to landscape plans - Assisting with and leading sections of outdoor carpentry works, such as fences, pergolas, and raised beds - Operating site tools, equipment, and machinery safely - Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe site - Supporting the site lead and helping less experienced team members What we’re looking for - Proven experience in landscaping, hardscaping, or construction - Confident with paving, levels, and basic drainage - Able to work independently and take responsibility for your work - Strong work ethic and attention to detail - Good communication and teamwork skills Progression This role is the final step before the site lead. With the right attitude and consistency, progression includes: - Skilled Operative → Taking responsibility for work areas and mentoring others - Site Lead / Supervisor → Running jobs, leading teams, and increasing pay and responsibility What we offer - Competitive pay, based on experience - Full-time, permanent work - Clear progression to site lead - A strong, quality-focused company culture - A team that takes pride in the work they deliver If you take pride in high standards, know your way around a site, and want to step up into a leadership role, we’d like to hear from you.
