The opportunity:
As our Horticultural Team Leader, you will lead a crew delivering high-standard garden maintenance with a focus on plant health, precision, and respectful care of client properties. You’ll be trusted to run the day efficiently, communicate clearly with clients and management, and maintain a safe, supportive environment for the team (OHSA).
What you’ll lead:
Execution of high-end residential garden maintenance to established quality standards
On-site leadership, coaching, and mentorship for crew members
Proactive problem-solving to keep scheduled work on track without compromising quality
Horticultural best practices, including integrated pest management (IPM)
Professional communication between clients, crew, and management
Accurate records for properties, vehicles, equipment, and crew performance
Safe daily operations and diligent care of tools, equipment, and client property

Qualifications
Education:
Apprentice Level I/II,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record, WISP, First AID, CPR
What we’re looking for - Required:
3 to 5 years of residential landscaping experience (garden-focused)
Strong knowledge of horticultural best practices and IPM
Excellent plant and weed identification skills
Full G driver’s license with a clean record, confident driving sprinters
First Aid and CPR (mandatory)
Clear English communication
Physically capable of full-time outdoor work
What is Preferred:
1 to 2 years in a crew lead or supervisory role
Post-secondary horticulture education or equivalent experience
Compensation
$28/hr to $35/hr/week
