Job Description
Right-hand to the crew leader, manages themselves and the crew to execute tasks.
Load and unload the crew truck at the yard and drive the crew truck to the jobsite daily.
Read plans, instructions, or work specifications to determine work activities.
Fill out yard purchase orders (PO#’s), circle checks on trucks/equipment, inspect and sign off on deliveries, and return all paperwork to the office on a weekly basis.
Assists in completing daily paperwork including vehicle and machine circle checks, purchase orders.
Review construction sites to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
Responsible for ensuring that all required PPE and safety equipment is used by crew members.
Assists in completing performance reviews with crew leader and laborers.
Back-up or assist in daily progress reports and meetings on site with the project manager.
Responsible for ensuring trucking and machinery are well maintained.
Craftsman on-site as required.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record
1 year or more landscape construction experience
Excavator, skid steer, articulated loader operation experience
Attention to Detail: The job requires being attentive to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Dependability: must be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
Stress Tolerance: This job requires maintaining composure and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
Communication: The job requires daily reports using a smart phone and clear communication skills for articulating information to the crew leader and operations manager.
Compensation
$28 to $33/hour
