Full-Time Seasonal Horticulturist

St. George’s Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s premier private golf clubs, recognized for championship-level course and grounds conditioning. We are seeking a Full-Time Seasonal Horticulturist to join the Greens Department for the 2026 season. Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, this role is responsible for the planting, care, and presentation of ornamental gardens, shrubs, small trees, and clubhouse lawns. This position is well suited to both experienced professionals and recent horticulture graduates looking to grow their skills in a high-caliber environment. Key Responsibilities • Plant and maintain annuals, perennials, shrubs, and small trees • Assist with ornamental design and plant selection • Prune, trim, hand-water, and fertilize landscaped areas • Maintain clubhouse and member areas to an exceptional standard • Safely operate and maintain horticultural equipment • Assist with supervision of assigned team members Qualifications • Knowledge of ornamental plant care and maintenance • Basic understanding of fertilizers and pest management • Strong attention to detail and time management skills • Ability to follow OHSA and club safety policies • Equipment operation experience an asset, but not required Compensation & Benefits • Full-time seasonal position (April–December), approx. 44 hours/week • Competitive hourly wage • Uniform provided • Free on-site parking • Staff events and activities We thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
