ABOUT THIS ROLE As a Carpenter at AHS, you’ll be hands-on in building custom wood structures — from pergolas and cabanas to decks, fences, and privacy screens. You’ll work closely with our project managers and designers to bring backyard visions to life, with a focus on safety, detail, and quality. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE ✅ Projects completed on time, on spec, and to AHS quality standards ✅ Woodwork finishes are precise, aligned, and professionally installed ✅ Job sites are clean, organized, and safe at all times ✅ Clients are impressed by your craftsmanship and professionalism ✅ You take initiative, solve problems on-site, and elevate the build process KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build and install custom outdoor wood structures: decks, pergolas, cabanas, fencing, gates, benches, screens, and more Interpret blueprints, plans, and site drawings Collaborate with the design and landscaping teams to align carpentry with the overall project vision Operate power tools, hand tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently Measure, cut, assemble, and secure wood and other materials with precision Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations Load/unload materials and keep job sites tidy and efficient Maintain tools and report damaged or missing equipment QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of carpentry experience (outdoor or landscaping carpentry preferred) Strong knowledge of framing, finishing, and joinery Ability to read construction drawings and plans Comfortable using power tools and woodworking machinery Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials, working outdoors in various conditions Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Punctual, organized, and committed to craftsmanship Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision COMPENSATION & PERKS 💰 Pay: $25–$45/hour 🕒 Schedule: Monday to Friday + Overtime Available 🎯 Bonuses: Based on project quality, efficiency, and customer feedback 🧰 Tools & Gear: Safety equipment and uniforms provided 🎉 Culture: Team events, seasonal bonuses, and a strong support system 📈 Growth: Opportunities to move into Lead Carpenter or Site Supervisor roles READY TO BUILD SOMETHING LASTING?
