Job Description

Landscape Technician/Gardener Tranquility Garden Design About Us Tranquility is currently seeking crew member hand who will join its residential maintenance crew and help us with garden maintenance and installation, seasonal urns, pest management, drip irrigation projects, installation of garden edging, and hardscaping projects such as pea gravel and flagstone patios. Job Details Salary $25-30/hour depending on experience Job Type Residential landscape maintenance and light landscape construction Full-time: 35-44 hours a week Working hours 8:00-am-5:00 pm April 1st-November 30. Location/Service Areas: Residential properties in Forrest Hill, the Annex and Etobicoke—days begin and end near Ossington subway station. Tasks Conduct regular maintenance work including pruning, weeding, edging, blowing, and organic pest control. Install new plantings and seasonal urns Help install irrigation systems (drip irrigation only). Drive company van Occasional hardscaping projects, pea gravel and flagstone patios Taking notes for time tracking app Reporting on plant healthcare problems.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma,, Apprentice Level I/II,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G2
Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk and kneel for an 8-hour shift Ability to carry fully-loaded bags of yard waste and mulch Ability to manoeuvre a loaded wheelbarrow or a large dolly with stones Ability to use electric line trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers and, pole pruners Required Qualities Hard-working and tolerant of physical labour Takes direction Passion and interest in plants Reliability Team player Pro-active problem solver Strong plant identification Experience in landscape construction and irrigation a plus.
